Clematis cirrhosa var. purpurascens 'Freckles' produces single nodding flowers which are creamy pink on the outside and creamy white on the inside with a lot of reddish maroon dots. Flower size is 5 to 7.5 cm across. Pruning is not necessary if you have enough space for a larger plant otherwise treat as a Group 2 to keep it under control and this should be carried out after the main flowering period.

Evergreen, pruning not necessary but can be treated as a Group 2 to keep it from overgrowing.
